56 Established as a non-profit organisation in 1989, the EPMA (European Powder Metallurgy Association) acts as the voice of the European PM (Powder Metallurgy) industry at an international level so as to collaborate with a range of organisations to address issues of strategic importance to the competitiveness of its members and industry as a whole with its 6 sectoral groups and 4 working groups. The EPMA has three key missions: • Promote PM Technology in Europe • Represent the European PM Industry within Europe and Internationally • Develop the Future of PM These are achieved using a variety of means including industry promotion, training & education, networking & events and technology development. For over 30 years the EPMA has served all types of member organisations; from component, metal powder, and equipment producers to end-users, research centres, universities, and individuals who have an interest in Powder Metallurgy (PM).
